Tools Needed In Your Corvette’s Glove Box

No one likes to run into car trouble on the road, but everyone needs to be prepared to raise the hood and spend some elbow grease getting any problems out of their car. If you are driving a C6 Corvette and find that the car isn’t working as intended for you, you need to make sure that you are able to pull out some tools and get to work.

Here are some of the most common tools you will need to fit into your Corvette’s glove box or trunk in order to handle any problem!

A Tire Jack And A Tire Iron/Lug Wrench

Often, the most common problem that people have with their Corvettes is the tires. They get flat, get punctured, or even get low on air and simply need to be changed with the spare in the back. Having the tools as well as the know-how to change a tire and making sure that you can complete the job at any opportunity is something that any driver will tell you you need.

This will help you get your tire back on, and will also help you feel confident that you can overcome one of the most basic problems people have on the road.

Pilers and Wire Cutters

These might not seem like they are that important for general car repair, but they are good to have if you are constantly fiddling with the electronics of your vehicle. If you are trying to install a new stereo head unit, speakers, or headlights, or simply need to do some delicate maneuvering, you will need a good set of pliers and wire cutters to complete the upgrades to your Corvette.

Just make sure you get some that are the correct size for your Corvette and will properly cut the wires and will maneuver them like you want them too, otherwise, you will be fighting the tool which is going to cause a lot of problems for you and for your vehicle.

 A Torque Wrench

One of the biggest issues that beginner mechanics to all cars tend to face is the oversetting of the car’s nuts to the proper torque. If you over torque a nut, then the bolt it is attached to will shear off and you will find that you won’t be able to remove the bolt when needed, so make sure you have the correct torque wrench. A clicker type wrench will do just fine, because you just need to tighter until you hear two clicks and you will have set the bolt to the torque on the tool, nice and easy!

Finally, don’t be afraid to give yourself a reason to smile when you repair your engine, because you can see all your C6 engine bay accessories!
